I know I skipped last week, but I don't think
I did any thrifting last week (gasp)
But here's my pick for this week.
Of Human Bondage
by
W. Somerset Maugham
Printed in 1915
$1
This is one of my favorite books of all time.
It's not a first edition, but close.
It even has that "old book" smell.
Here are a few things I passed up with much regret, monday actually.
Why can't someone just pay me to be a super slow, eclectic, and yet affordable designer? I could slowly fill the largest of houses.
Mostly with chairs.
Anyone who has been inside my house knows how sad but true that is.
I do have the ability to see other lovely pieces, just not the ability to fit them in my car.
Danny refuses to buy me a larger vehicle for this reason.
Wow, that book seems like a hidden treasure that was just waiting for you to find it. Exciting!
ReplyDeleteThrifting is so much fun! Such a thrill when you find something that that is a gem :)
